Why are you joining?

Because I want to get to know my neighbors better, I want more to do close to home, I feel that if I am active on this site I'll be able to keep track of my kids, I am looking for a job, My family is active in sports and we want to find others in Heartland with the same interests, I am single and looking for someone to date that is close to home, I want a support network of responsible adults to let me know if something is going on that shouldn't be, I am new to the area and want to feel more at home

Am I really getting old?

I just played a game of football at the intersection of heartland crossing blvd and county line rd. I use the term "played" very loosely. 3 plays into it, I had my hands on my knees begging my lungs to breathe! After a couple more plays my body warmed up a bit, but it was amazing not to be able to hop into the groove of playing automatically. It was still quite fun, we had about 20 people. Thanks to Dave Cooney for organizing the game and if anyone who played sees this, thanks for the work out!

The Growth of the Heartland Crossing Community Website

This online community is a great thing, but it seems it would work best if we had more of our community involved on the site. For example, I play volleyball with quite a few regular people, but recently we've had a couple young men come play with us and it added to the fun. You would think one of our regular group of ten would have thought to get their phone numbers to so we could plan on playing again. I'm a web developer for Squish Designs, LLC. We just worked on a website for Ike and Jonesy's. I dont know if you've been there, but its a great place, especially on Thursdays! (25 cent Beer!).
