Heartland Crossing Community Watch

A Community Watch group can be the "eyes and ears" of law enforcement.

Community Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the active participation of residents, in cooperation with law enforcement, to reduce crime and victimization in their communities. It involves:

*Residents using common sense crime prevention practices to protect themselves and their property.

*Sharing information to protect their neighbors and neighbors.

*Neighbors getting together in assistance to prevent crime.

* Going to one meeting a month to share info, hear new info, make goals, and learn new ways to protect yourself and loved ones.

*Residents being able to recognize and report suspicious activity in their neighborhood.

*Reporting crime and safety concerns and instances to the Dircetor and Co-Director or the community watch so that they can get the word out to the rest of the community.
