Interacting with your neighbors on and offline

What do you do with your cell phones that you don't use any longer?

A colleague of mine started a group that is collecting to provide cell phones to those in need. Here is the website so that you can read more about it.
http://www.freewebs.com/operationopenup/

If you are interested in donating your old phones, I'd be happy to meet up with you to collect your phone donation and then drop them off at one of the spots or to the coordinator.

Feel free to leave a message in this forum or send me a message directly.

Hi!

Please let me introduce myself! I am Cissi Sherlock and I am Nicki's colleague hoping to solve the ills of the world by providing everyone in need with a recycled cell phone!

We have a new web address. It is www.thecpop.ning.com.

Please contact Nicki Laycoax if you have unused cell phones you would like to get rid of. There is always someone less fortunate that can benefit from their usage. We are always in need of cell phones. If your business or organization would like to host a cell phone collection drive or you would like for me to speak to your group during a cell phone collection drive, please call me at 605-8584 or send an email to operationopenup@gmail.com

Forgive me for asking this question, but if its for a less fortunate person, how can they afford cell phone service if they are less fortunate? I have heard of giving old cell phones to the military for their use.
I cant help but chuckle as to how someone having a cell phone is going to cure the ills of this world.
