Decatur Central Lions Club 4H Fair

THE 4H-FAIR IS BACK!

After a year off (and a year at a different location) the main social and community event of Decatur Township is back at it's regular time and place.

I will do my best to update this event as more details are given to me, but I do know the event is scheduled to go from Wednesday July 8, to Saturday July 11, 5pm to 10pm daily (or until the crowd dwindles each night).

To help families and kids better afford ride tickets this year, we are working on a deal with the carnival group to offer a discount deal for a one price pre-sale discount to ride as much as you want for at least one night of the fair. This is NOT confirmed yet, but I will post as soon as I know more.

The Lions Club is receiving more and more requests for support from the community than ever due to the tough economy. In the past few months alone, the club has donated thousands of dollars to support the Decatur Twp. elementary schools' Angel Funds, the Goodwin Center, Damar Services, etc. We can only support requests through the proceeds from events such as the fair.

The Lions Club needs your support to make sure the event is a success this year. We are in need of volunteers as well. If you can volunteer a few hours to help with food, or other duties, please contact me.

If you have any questions, please email me or give me a call at 317-319-1911. The Lions Club will also host 2 more meetings to discuss the fair (1st and 3rd Thursday in June, 7pm, at the Decatur Intermediate Learning Center on Mann Rd.) Guests are welcome.

Just got more information:

The advance sale ride tickets will only be at 2 locations:
The Decatur Township Assessor's Office (High School Rd) and Shaw's Market in West Newton.

The Decatur Central Lions Club negotiated with the Carnival company to keep costs as low as possible for our fair this year. The fair is Wed/Thur/Fri/Sat, food open around 5pm, rides start at 6.

Advance sale ticket will be $15 for a pass to ride all night. This offer is good for Wednesday night or Thursday night only. If you buy this pass at the fair, the price will be $18.

Individuals ride tickets will also be available at the fair for a dollar a ticket.
